About Lara Sanders

Lara Sanders is an award-winning director, producer, and TV personality based in Los Angeles and Germany. She won a lifetime achievement award for her period-spanning feature documentary "Celebration of Flight". A film inspired by her memoir "Up and Away" (aka "Einfach Davon Geflogen"), published by National Geographic/Malik and is currently available on Amazon. Lara was the founder and CEO of Lombardo Films - an international film production and distribution company. The distribution department sold at top international film markets, e.g. Cannes Festival, Berlinale and AFM. As a director and producer, Lara has received numerous awards such as ("Best Foreign Film", Gloria Film Festival, Utah 2007; "Best Feature Documentary", Thin Line Festival, Texas. 2007; "Best Documentary" and "Young Audience Award", Int.
